Today I am presenting my version of
the Chinese “Golden Pheasant”. I really liked making it because it posed two
personal challenges: getting the illusion of the striped feathers in the tail
and the golden crown to look like real feathers.
To make the two-colored tail I made wheatears using a quilling
comb. After 2 loops I changed colors,
alternating blue and yellow.
