Two Betta Fish

While researching “fish” for a quilled aquarium challenge I participated in, I came across the Betta Fish. I just fell in love with the wide variety of beautiful single colors and with the array of patterns they have.  They were both mostly done using the wheatear quilling technique.

This is my rendition of two such beauties. Of course, due to the 8x10” size, they were done just for fun and not for the aquarium.  They were finally framed in a 12x12” shadow box.

Under the Sea - Aquarium

Today I am presenting my “Under the Sea - Aquarium” entry for the Quilling Plus group challenge.

It really enjoyed making each piece because it gave me the opportunity to research fish and all the other elements for this aquatic scene. I never stopped amazing myself about the beauty of Nature.

This piece ended up being 11x14", the largest I have made so far.
