Aurora Borealis and Sailboat

While participating in a quill-along, one of the group members posted this picture.

I liked it so much that I decided that I would take the challenge to quill it.

Well, being a lake or pond scene I thought it needed something else. After thinking for quite a while I decided that a sailboat would be perfect.  I did find the sailboat and this is what I came up with.

Tree silhouette - mosaic

This tree silhouette is a Quill-Along-Project  that I made following Erin Perkins Curet's instructions and also putting my own spin to it.

RETRO MOSAIC

I, a.k.a. as Crafty Lucy, couldn't wait any longer to finish my mosaic!
Here it is all ready to hang and show it.

Thank you Erin Curet for teaching me this new technique, which I thoroughly enjoyed doing and am already thinking of making another one a little bit bigger.

However, next time I believe that I have to put less sealant. I am learning along the way. Not bad for being my first time quilling a mosaic.
